Your Weekend Rundown

Yes, I know, I know, this should have been posted hours ago, but better late than never! Mama had to work:) If you’re ready to get your weekend on check for the rundown below:
Tonight
- Celebrate Jay Claxton’s birthday at Velvet Rope (200 E. Redwood St.). D.J. Quicksilva will be on the 1’s and 2’s.
- Events 4 Good People and company are celebrating scorpios tonight at Eden’s (15 W. Eager St.)
- Cocktails for a Cure is happening all month long at B&O American Brassiere ( 2 N. Charles St.) The event is a month-long initiative to support the fight against HIV/AIDS. Each time a guest of B&O purchases one of four cocktails, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants will donate $1 to the Whitman-Walker Clinic in Washington, DC. This year’s featured cocktails are $9 each and include the grapefruit spritz, the bad apple, the orange blossom fizz and the morning daiquiri.
Saturday
- The annual City/Poly football game is going down this weekend and Club Reality (2625 Washington Blvd) will be hosting the official after party. Doors open at 4 p.m.
- If you want to get your party on with the locals head down to the Sheraton Hotel (101 W. Fayette St.) They will be hosting a special fashion showcase as well.
- When is the last time you got your Karaoke on with your friends? It’s one of my favorite things to do to relax. All American Sports Bar (1205 Crain Highway), Judges Bench (8385 Main Street), Michael’s Pub (8630 Guilford St.)
- Take your kiddies, cousins, nieces, and nephews to see the the Smithsonian Institute’s traveling exhibit commemorates the Montgomery Bus Boycott that was an important moment in the Civil Rights Movement. The exhibit combines photographs and historical text. You can see it at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum (30 E. Pratt St.)
