My boo (in my head) , Idris Elba aka Stringer Bell (formerly of the Wire) is set to join the cast of Thor as Heimdell, “the guardian of Asgard, he stands on the BiFrost Bridge ready to defend the city from intruders.”
The rest of the cast includes Chris Hemsworth (as Thor), Anthony Hopkins (Odin), and Natalie Portman. And let’s not forget the recently cast Warriors Three, Ray Stevenson,Tadanobu Asano, and Stuart Townsend.

As a Heathen I am offended by this casting. Heimdall is described as “the whitest of the gods”, this is like casting a Japanese to play Shaka Zulu! Even though this is just a superhero film the casting is all wrong in this respect and very disrespectful to Northern European culture and history. I hope this film flops!
