Recap: Milan Monday’s

I was pleasantly surprised on Monday night as I approached Milan (1000 Eastern Ave) to find 3 gentlemen and a lady outside, smiling, holding a list. Although the invitation sent out via facebook said “invite only” happy hour, I still had my doubts. Maybe because I had received many invitations like that before in the city of Baltimore and for the most part those promoters just let anyone in, but not at Milan Monday’s.

The happy hour hosted by Events 4 Good People is for the young, urban, and professional crowd. Happy hour specials include; $5 Belvedere martinis, $5 wine by the glass, and $5 bar entrees. This was my first time at Milan and I have to say I was quite impressed, not only with the decor of the venue, but everything. The hostess, bartenders, and waitresses were extremely friendly. The drink and food menu were different from most bars having a strong variety of options that anyone would enjoy. My personal favorite was the Gucci martini and lobster macaroni and cheese, so good!

I’ve been complaining for months about how there’s no good happy hour in Baltimore where I can hang with like minded folks, with no drama, no attitude, and just have a good time after a hard days work. It’s refreshing that finally someone got it and did something about it. Kudos Azikiwe (ceo of E4GP) and Milan for a job well done. I’ll definitely be back.
