Want to spend your refund before you get it?
Nearly 60 downtown retailers can help you do that — and save money in what is being billed as Baltimore’s “unofficial tax-free shopping week.”
Participating retailers are offering 6 percent or more off purchases during Baltimore Retail Week April 16-25. That makes up for the tax Maryland charges on purchases.
The effort is being spearheaded by Epps Consulting, a retail marketing firm with some help from Downtown Partnership of Baltimore Inc.
Epps Consulting Owner Christine M. Carter called the week “a celebration of our city’s most dedicated entrepreneur.”
“This event was created to promote the small business retailer while stimulating the city’s economy,” she said.
